Free credit report sites warned they may be violating new law
FTC says commercial Free credit report sites often have strings attached The Federal Trade Commission issued a warning to nine companies, operating 18 "Free credit report" websites, that they were violating new federal regulations designed to alert consumers about the strings sometimes attached to these offers.
